Our Days at Chosen Children

By Isabel D. Cang

There is a certain kind of tranquillity & peacefulness that overcomes me every time I step into Chosen Children Village. If I close my eyes for a moment, I can hear the wind blowing, the trees rustling, and the gentle laughter of a child. I can see & feel life. What a stark contrast it all is compared to how these young children were brought into the world. Today, when I look into their eyes, I see past their imperfections and instead, see love and simplicity and kindness and tenderness,

Chosen Children is a haven for all these beautiful human beings. It has allowed them to truly live, and most of all, it has given them a space on earth, a HOME, when nobody else did & when they needed it the most. I admire the work everyone at CCV is doing to keep the kids happy. It is generosity in its purest form. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to experience Jesus’ love through the children – their smiles, their laughter, their tears, and most especially through the pureness of their hearts.

Dear Chosen Children,

What a beautiful work that you are doing here. I couldn’t believe how dedicated and devoted every staff person that I met was to loving and caring to each and every child. In every house or room I went into, the children were being cared for and played with, held, hugged and burped. Their every need seemed to be met, which is very impressive for an organization run entirely on donations. I loved seeing not only are the children fed, clothed, and given a place to live, but their medical needs and physical and mental issues are being treated. Going into the houses and playing with the children is an experience that I will never forget. Jumping around with the little toddler boys and holding one until he fell asleep in my arms. My heart is connected to children, and being able to love and hold children with mental or physical needs was so wonderful and something new that I’ve never been able to experience before. I wish I could stay here longer, enough time to get to know the children more, but my three days here has been a beautiful and unforgettable experience. I will never forget the faces of all the children here and the love that I got from them which they contribute to this world.

Thank you and God bless you!

Chosen Children Village is a wonderful place. Some things that have stood out to me is the love that is continuously given to the children. They are well taken care of and are clearly provided provided with such a loving and safe home. The teachers, caregivers and mamas and papas are all so joyful and peaceful. They put everything they have into giving the children the best they could have. The children are very well behaved and responsible from a young age. There is peace throughout the village. It is amazing that the children do their chores so diligently and willingly. The structure is clearly having such a positive effect on the way life is lived in the village. Still, the most important thing I see is love. Each child is known and cared for. It is wonderful to see. The village is also great because it provides the children with medical, dental and educational needs. All bases are covered including the excellent and nutritional foods that helps maintain the health of the children. It has been a blessing to see the health of the children. It has been a blessing to see the compassion and love that fill Chosen Children Village and I am so happy to have been able to visit. The staff is superb and I have only excellent things to say. I hope to come back again soon.

With love,
