
May 28, 2011 - Visit of Church of the Evangel (COTE). Five persons from COTE came and visited CCV and brought in-kind donations for the children. The group of evangelists also sponsored 2 more children and gave a generous monetary donation. Some of the children performed for the church people who appreciated it so much. As a finale, the evangelists recited a prayer of thanks together with the children and the staff.

Light Infinity Wellness Center headed by Ms. Bel Yucoco and the Reiki Healers came in the afternoon at around 2:20PM on May 21, 2011. They visited the cottages and did Reiki healing with the children and staff from Cottage 1 to Cottage 11 and visited the other buildings of the village. At Cottage 2, they stayed for about 30 minutes because Rhea was having a seizure then. Rhea’s seizure attack eventually subsided and she fell asleep. The group of healers left around 5:30PM.

May 21, 2011 (Saturday) – Around fifteen students who are members of the ISM-CCV club together with Ms. Larita Hamilton came and visited the children and stayed the whole morning.

Mrs. Ellen Galang, the mother of Jon-jon Galang who is MJ’s sponsor, visited and brought birthday gifts (Barbie Doll, Jacket and 2 pcs. used tops) to MJ on May 20, 2011.

The Core Group suggests visiting Quezon Province particularly in Lucban, Quezon and its nearby towns Tayabas & Lucena City. This municipality rests at the foot of Mt. Banahaw. Lucban is famous around the world for the annual Pahiyas Festival which is held every May 15 in honor of the patron saint of harvest, Isidore the Laborer and Farmer. During their stay in Quezon, the children can have their swimming in a resort and have a pilgrimage at Kamay ni Hesus Shrine. Kamay ni Hesus or Hands of Jesus is one of the top Lenten destinations today here in the Philippines where you can find the largest life-sized image of Jesus Christ on top of a mountain with his hand open wide.

– Back to Sevilla’s Resort for another overnight stay

May 13, 2011 - Visit of RHOM and HAAS Philippines, Inc. at 2PM, c/o Ms. Che Wong. They were assisted by Ms. Che Naval, CCV Assistant Executive Director. They brought in-kind donations. The CCV functional children prepared a brief program and had an interaction after the presentation.
