Mama Ces & two of her friends' Birthday

On January 30, 2011, Mama Ces and two of her friends celebrated their birthdays at CCV by sponsoring the lunch of some selected children. Mama Ces hosted the brief program and they also prepared some games which the children enjoyed.

Run for a Cause – Mr. Raymond Reyes of S.M.A.R.T. G.U.Y.S. (Simple Men who Are Real and Tested, Giving United and Yuletide Service) and Visionaries (Vision Impaired and Striving Individuals Optimizing Normalcy, Aiming for Resiliency, Independence, Empowerment and Spirituality) spearheaded a fund-raising activity entitled “Sama-Samang ...Takbuhan para sa mga Batang may Kapansanan” exclusively for the benefit of the Chosen Children Village. Teacher Erne, the Residential Director of CCV attended the activity which was held in Imus, Cavite. Assembly at the venue was at 6:00AM. The registrants for the activity directly paid the fee to Teacher Erne. Afterwards Mr. Raymond Reyes and his family and friends came to CCV and visited the children on January 30, 2011.

They brought in-kind donations for the children. One of the students had previously attended an Immersion activity.

Volunteer work of Ms. Anna Alberto, her sister & friends

Ms. Anna Alberto and her sister and a friend came to CCV for a half-a-day volunteer work on January 22, 2011. The three ladies were assigned at Cottages 2, 5 and 11 respectively. They helped the caregivers in the daily chores in the cottages and interacted/played with the CCV children.

Community BINGO

A Community BINGO was held on the feast day of the Sto. Niño at The School for Chosen Children on January 16, 2011 at 3:00PM. Locals from the nearby communities of Silang were invited to participate in the fund-raising activity of CCV. Prizes included dry goods and kitchen accessories and appliances which were generously donated by the publishing staff of Sharon @ Home Magazine. A TV set was the grand prize which went to a very lucky lady named Christina Aguinaldo of Lalaan 2nd. Ms. Aguinaldo happened to be wearing a blue T-shirt printed with an image of the Sto. Niño on the front and with words that says “Viva Sto. Niño.” Two (2) CCV employees won prizes also.

Will you Marry Me?

Mr. Martin Gonzalez, formerly of Southridge School for Boys, made a marriage proposal to his girlfriend Bea at the CCV playground on January 15, 2011. With Mrs. Fullerton and the children as his co-conspirator, his proposal was happily accepted by Bea. The couple laid down a picnic blanket and complete with wine and a harana from the groom-to-be, Martin got a “yes” from his teary-eyed bride-to-be. For Martin Gonzalez, Chosen Children has been a part of his life for ten (10) years and through these years he made it a point to bring his friends and girlfriend to the village on special occasions.

Visit of Sharon Del Valle of Joshua Care International on January 15, 2011 – Ms. Sharon Del Valle, the founder of Joshua Care International, and her friends visited CCV.

Post Christmas Party of Perpetual Help Molino on January 14, 2011.

The Girl Scouts of Perpetual Help Molino High School Department held their post Christmas Party at Chosen Children. Around forty-four students and teachers came to the village and held a lunch party together with the CCV children. The students from Molino facilitated the activity by having a short programme and games with the children.
