Visit of M/M Charlie and Esther Paradies.

On February 27, 2011, Mr. Charlie Paradies (known to his friends as Karl) and his wife Esther came to CCV at around 3:30PM to visit their sponsored child Darwin. They were happy to see that Darwin is in good health. Mrs. Lita Fullerton gave a tour of the village to the US-based couple who is in the Philippines for a short while only. Mr. Paradies also brought chocolates and rice for the children.

February 24

Visit of Marilen Zamora and Son.

Ms. Marilen Zamora and her two sons came to CCV and celebrated her 37th birthday by sponsoring the lunch of thirty-eight (38) children on February 24, 2011. The lady from Biñan, Laguna also generously donated some cash for the children’s daily expenses. She also plans to sponsor a child and will help refer Chosen Children to her friends.

February 23

Visit of JTC Group of Companies.

The Executive Officers of JTC Group of Companies and some of their personnel came to visit the children at around 9:30AM on February 23, 2011. JTC owns giant food chains Chowking, Greenwich and Jollibee. The CEO and VP of JTC respectively, Jaime Cruz and his wife Ricci happened to be celebrating their anniversary as a married couple. ...After the entire JTC personnel toured the village facilities and met some of the children, they assembled at the Javier Nutrition Center for the brief program which they had prepared. The children enjoyed the games which had been prepared for them and afterwards they performed for the visitors. The children and staff greeted the couple with a “Happy Anniversary Mama Ricci and Papa Jaime” which made Mama Ricci cry some tears of joy.

JTC brought Jollibee food for the children and some in-kind donations such as biscuits, diapers, eggs, fresh milk, oats, pasta, rice, and toiletries.

February 19

Visit of Mrs. Jennifer Tiu & Sons.

Mrs. Jennifer Tiu and two of her sons, Dwayne (a special child) and Lance, came to visit the children at around 3:30PM on February 19, 2011. The family from Pasig City brought in-kind donations for the children such as instant noodles, oats, powdered milk and puzzle mats. Jennifer plans to sponsor one of the CCV children.

February 14

ISM Middle School Outreach Program.

14-18 February 2011 – ISM Middle School Outreach Program. Sixteen (16) girls from International School Manila together with their two (2) mentors came to CCV to fulfill requirements for their Outreach Program. During their 4.5 day stay at the village, the teenagers from ISM will follow a program of activities which include: assisting the caregivers in their daily tasks at the different cottages (e.g. assisting during feeding time, mopping the floor, washing the dishes), cleaning the village pathwalk, helping at the laundry area, interaction and play therapy with the children.

Lunch @ Jollibee Tagaytay on February 9, 2011.

Mr. Jose Mari Chan (a renowned Chinese Filipino singer-songwriter and a successful businessman in the sugar industry) sponsored the lunch of his sponsored child Jeric and Jeric’s cottagemate Ivan at Jollibee Tagaytay. The two (2) children were accompanied by Teacher Erne.

February 8

Visit of ISM Students.

Visit of ISM students on February 8, 2011 – Around 30 Gr. 4 students from International School Manila came to visit CCV for half a day. The grade schoolers were designated at Cottages 1, 2, 5 and 11. They had various activities with the children and assisted the caregivers during feeding time. Before leaving the village, there was a farewell activity at The School for Chosen Children were they performed a dance number and in turn some selected CCV children also performed a very energetic contemporary dance.

Visit of Sheryll Ann Margret Cuenca & Neighbors.

Visit of Sheryll Ann Margret Cuenca and neighbors of South Forbes Villas Homeowners on February 6, 2011 – Ms. Cuenca came with her friends and neighbors and brought in-kind donation for the children. Sheryll and her group attended the Holy Mass first at the CCV Chapel and afterwards were given a tour of the facilities of the village. The homeowners of South Forbes also donated to the Trust Fund.

Immersion of CEU-Makati BS Psychology Students.

Immersion of CEU-Makati BS Psychology Students on February 5, 2011 – Twenty-four (24) 3rd level students from CEU-Makati came to CCV and attended a whole day Immersion Activity. The college students were accompanied by their mentor Mrs. Angelina Villanueva, who also joined the Immersion.
